 Little Sahara Wrap Up
« Thread Started on Sept 28, 2005, 12:27pm »

Just wanted to start a thread and see what eveyone thought about the their trip to Little Sahara...Sean and I had a fricking blast!!! :D We will definitely be going back again...Probably when it's a little cooler....We ended up putting 140 miles on the bikes(not bad in a 30 hour timeframe)..Took me several hours to clean them up on Sunday, but well worth it....We both definitely liked the smaller dunes and trails and night riding the best...The big dunes(Buttercup or whatever) were definitely a little too crazy for our tastes...Anyways, glad everybody made it and glad everyone made it out uninjured and bikes unscathed... ;)
Hopefully, I will have some pics to post soon.... :-X

Chris & I had fun. :-* We would love to go back this Spring when it is much cooler. I haven't sent off my night riding pictures yet because I haven't used up all the roll. I really enjoyed the sand. It was different than having dirt everywhere. :-X I like the smaller dunes too because those big ones sure are scary to me. Especially when you don't quite make it to the top and you are rolling backward down this steep hill just trying to keep it straight so you don't roll it.....not alot of fun in that let me tell ya. Thought I needed to check my drawers after that little incident. :( I watched Chris and Raymond go round and round in that circle pit thing and it looked like fun, but not something I wanted to test out on my own, especially at night. Anyways, can't wait to go back sometime. ::)

My >:(... :D

I had an awesome time. Ashley and I rode with Stacy and had fun talking and laughing all the way there. I'd have her honk at someone as we drove by and I'd wave really big.... ;) I saw a few guys checking us out...you know 2 chicks, 2 bikes... :(

I had a blast on the dunes. I cut some of my first sand doughnuts... :-* I had a blast going over the hills...I didn't mind going down them...but some looked a little tough to go up.

The sand was awesome and a lot different than the sand at Keystone Dam. It was so soft and it didn't irate or get anywhere it shouldn't.... :(

The house was nice. It was great to be out of the hot weather and sun. I got a nice burn on my shoulders and it tanned nicely. :-X

We stopped by Glass Mountains for an hour. It was really a neat place to check out...except for those signs every 20 ft or so that said, "Beware of rattlesnakes!" :(

I am ready to go back. I think we have plans of going back with a friend in October...3rd week. We'd camp out this time by the park.

Anyways, to sum up, nice trip there...nice trip back. Great all the way around.... ::)

Dawn :-X

I received a flyer for it via fax from a ladies daughter in Siloam. I thought she said something about her attending and I asked her if she could get some information. Looks like it is $6 per event or 3 events for $15. General Admission is $2. Registration starts @ 9:30 at the Park in Decatur. Events start @ 10:30 a.m. The events are: Sled Pull, Pro/Amateur & Kid Class for Barrel Races, & Mud Pit. It is located at New Decatur Park on Hwy 102. Phone number is 479-752-3838 or 479-549-2711. Hope this helps you out :-X
