Heather's Dad (Raymond's Father in Law) is in the hospital today. He collapsed with low blood pressure. They have found a baseball size mass above his heart. Let's pray it's not cancer. He is in the Grove Hospital.
Thanks everyone...

She called and said they will probably be moving him to the VA hospital in OKC. They will have him in ICU there. More details as we get them....

Until Heather posts, I'll post somewhat of an update...they did find some cancer and he did start treatments. He did get released from the hospital over the weekend.
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Dawn - I haven't had a chance to really get on here to post anything about it. Dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer back in February. He's had two rounds of chemo now -- has them about every 21-28 days and so far the cancer is responding to the chemo. Dad has about four masses, one around his armpit, two in his chest and one where his shoulder and neck meet. The one at his armpit was the size of a very large grapefruit and has now shrunk to about the size of a large walnut! He still tires easily and it's really hard for him to eat because his medicine makes him sick to his stomach. Mom has been pushing the food at him which is what he needs - the docs want him to have 3,000 calories a day so that he will maintain or gain some of the weight back. He's doing good so far -- after his first round of chemo, he gained a pound. Mom's hoping to put more than a pound on him this time.
We appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers that are out there for him. Please continue to keep him in your prayers because, believe it or not, prayers do help a lot!!

We are so sorry for the loss of Heather's Dad. Raymond let me know today when he passed away.
I will always remember him as a great guy with an awesome smile. I remember when he handed me his camera and he let me take some photographs of him, Heather, and Heather's mom at Heather and Raymond's wedding. I always liked seeing him in the parades with his "Cat in the Hat" hat on while driving his and Heather's Mom Sherrill's white convertible Corvette!! You're Dad was an awesome guy!
We love ya Heather...if you need anything, you know we are here for you and your family.

I'd like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers..I greatly appreciate it! Dad is in Heaven now, whole again and no longer hurting. He developed pneumonia on top off the lung cancer and was in the hospital for the last 3 weeks. He struggled for every breath there at the end but not anymore. Again, I'd like to thank all of you for thinking of us. Mom has asked that if anyone out there would like to, please send donations in memory of Dad to the Delaware County CASA (court appointed special advocates). CASA is an organization that meant soo much to Dad and Mom is a volunteer for. Thanks to all once again, you'll never know how much it means to me knowing that you all care enough to think of Raymond, me, and my family.
