Another multi-use trail system located just north of Dover, AR. Trails are well marked and consist of four loops that offer 30 miles of riding. Stave Mills Falls Loop (Orange) starts at the horse camp off Hwy 7. Travels along Moccasin Creek past three very pretty waterfalls. Easy trail for all riders.
Black Oak Ridge Loop (Pink) newest section of this trail system travels along the top of the ridge above Moccasin Hollow and offers some great views of the Arkansas Ozarks. Easy to Moderate.
High Mtn. Loop (Yellow) Best section of trail offers riders several creek crossings which can get pretty deep during Spring rains, two waterfalls and plenty of nice overlooks. Terrain varies from easy to difficult and is not recommended for inexperienced riders.
Gap Hollow Loop (Blue) consists mostly of old logging roads and is easily ridden by all.

Moccasin Gap Trail is 28 miles in length with four major loops as well as connecting inner loops. Offering secluded and rustic riding, trails run through hardwood and pine forests, along ridge tops and along Moccasin Creek, which has several waterfalls. The trailhead is located at Moccasin Gap Camp, which has vault toilets and 17 primitive campsites with no water or electricity. The cost is $3 for day use or $3 per campsite (including day use). Maps of the trail are available at the campground.
To reach the trailhead, travel about 8 miles north of Dover on Ark. 7 and turn left on a dirt road marked by a sign. Mack's Pines Campground on Ark. 7 is located two miles south of this main trail entrance. For more information, contact the Bayou Ranger District at (479) 284-3150.
