www.adaeveningnews.com/local/local_story_009122958.htmlThat was sad, but there were two things that disturbed me when I read the story in the Tulsa World....1. Neither rider had a helmet on 2. The young man who was killed was riding on the back of this 4 wheeler with a 14 year old driving at a high rate of speed... As I said previously, this was a sad story and I truly feel sorry for their families...However, I think it's even more sad that this whole tragedy could have possibly been prevented...Please wear your protective gear and follow your manufacturer safety guidelines...The more of these type accidents we can prevent will be a great thing for the entire ATV community and it's reputation and probably save lives and unneccessary injuries...Just my .... Quotes directly from Ada newspaper story... "ATV accidents continue to rise. Rosas’ death continues the trend of escalating injuries and death in ATV-related accidents. Safety officials said ATVs offer excellent opportunities for recreation. When safety, however, is not a priority there could be tragic results. Several Pontotoc County residents have been killed or injured in four-wheeler accidents in recent years. Safety officials said many accidents result from driving the vehicles too fast. And the risk of serious injury or death increases when helmets are not in use."

I agree with you Mark...I read that the other day. It's a bad thing for our sport that the government is trying so hard to regulate and cut down on us...I feel sorry for the families that have lost loved ones...
I too was stupid at once and didn't wear a helmet! I rolled over at Disney and got lucky with some bruises and scrapes. It could have been way worse...since then I wear a helmet 90% of the time while out...just around the house, I don't...
