I will be visiting family this summer. They live around the Grand Lake region. I am from Ohio and was thinking about bringing my Rhino if there was any worthwhile riding spots. Not sure about the Oklahoma access rules regarding side by sides. It's a long haul and towing will drag my gas milage down considerably, but I'm always looking for some good wheelin'. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

In the South Grand Lake area there are two good places within 30 minutes of each other...At Grand Lake(south end) there is the Disney(Dam area) riding area...I ride there quite often(approx. 1 hr, 15 min. from Tulsa)...Alot of good trails with quite a few challenging ones as well...Alot of 4x4 jeeps and trucks do some pretty amazing stuff back in these trails as well..Kinda cool to watch 'em...There is plenty of room for ATV's and trucks/jeeps.....About 30 minutes from Disney is what I have always called the Salina area..It is also located just above the Dam for Lake Hudson...Just find Salina, OK on the map and you will see a bridge just outside...THe riding area/dam is about 5 minutes from this bridge...It is not as big as Disney area, but still a pretty fun place to ride for the day..When the water is down there are alot of good creek beds to ride in...If you want more info feel free to PM me..If you get adventurous while you are here there are even more areas within an hour of so of Grand Lake...If you like riding as much as I do, I would definitely recommend bring your bike...You won't be disappointed...Plus, Grand Lake is a beautiful lake with losts of things to do.... P.S.- If you are gonna be on the North end of Grand Lake, it is about a 30-45 minute drive (winding twisty roads) to the South end..That's why I qualified the above with the South end...Grand is a fairly big lake....The riding area (Disney dam area) is actually on the River side of the Dam...Hope this helps...
