OK Gold Rush Grand Prix is one of the only asphalt and dirt grand prix in the US, celebrating 15 years of racing this year. Our cross-country motorcycle ATV event takes riders through a little over 1.5 miles of asphalt on racetrack, and a little over 9 miles racetrack in the dirt at Hallett Motor Raceway.
We change the course every year, so the wooded section is always new. We’ve packed a lot of variety into the ride. It has technical spots, fast off-road sections, rocky sections, creek crossings, small jumps and an over-under bridge crossings.
The asphalt section of the race is a 1.5 mile, 10-turn road race course, with over 80 feet of elevation changes. We’ve clocked racers at speeds up to 100 MPH. This is the same course that features CMRA motorcycle road racing, SCCA car racing
association, in addition to local Porche, Shelby and Viper clubs.
The facilities are top notch at Hallett; you have actual racetrack facilities with indoor restrooms, indoor restaurant you can sit down or take out from the counter. We have asphalted roads running through the pits, and running water.
Oklahoma Gold Rush is a very family-oriented event. We have parent-child teams who race, and sometimes we’ll see father, mother, son and daughter racing in the same event. We have classes available for the whole family, and all levels of riders, and professional pictures are available.
It’s a great community we see every year. Road-racers, Flat trackers,
Motocrossers, Cross country racers, and some people that the Oklahoma Gold Rush is the only event they ride all year.
