I read on another board today that App. Bay(Keystone) is under water...If you have ever been there, from what I read the little shack at the entrance is completely under water....That is amazing...I might just drive out there to see that...I figured with the water being 31 ft. above normal it would be high, but that's amazing...That place is gonna be completely different if and when the water goes down...Should be interesting...I will let you know what I see if I go out there...Only about 20 minutes from where I work.....

I never saw Dawn post any pics that I sent her, so I will do the deed...Kinda neat when you see the before and after flooding...I went out there Sat. on the way back from Stillwater..... 3 weeks ago when water was 26' above normal.. 3 days ago when water was down to 10' above normal... 3 weeks ago...entrance to atv parking.... 3 days ago...everything below where water was is dead....and yes, those logs are laying across road to parking...and that bright green moss in the background is completely covering the area..and it smells absolutely awful where I was taking the pics from... 3 weeks ago...boat ramp is part of the lake in distance....guard shack at entrance is under water...I guees the corps put that temp bldg in on the left after water went down.... 3 days ago...gaurd shack is gone...check out all the debris and trees where boat ramp is.... and Another pic of the entrance 3 weeks ago... And 3 days ago...the "WATER 07" mark on the ground was where the water got up to at it's crest (31 feet above normal)... And one more....where my truck is sitting in this pic was under water...as well, my truck would have been at this spot.....

Here are some pics I took on 08-17-2007. I thought I would share for those of you that have been there. I know they are from my cell phone so the quality is not that great but I think you will still get the picture! Pictures on my trip down. Front gate Just past the first parking area. Around the corner headed to the final camping area. Gate to the last parking area. Final parking area looks pretty good for the most part. The entrance to the land bridge. Another shot of the entrance. Land bridge looks same as always. Water is still a little higher then I am used to but the island is accessible. Now for a few shots of the trip back. The back side of the entrance to the land bridge. The entrance to the last parking area. The road headed back to the first parking area. It is pretty clear minus a few big trees on the side of the road and the parking area has a little debris. The road back to the main entrance. There is a lot of little debris along here but would be easy to clean up. The 2 biggest piles of debris and the most work would come from the entrance to the last parking area and the entrance to the land bridge.

Just a quick update. Leave it to the corp guys they got it accessible and cleaned up a bit and it is open again. I actually went out and rode tonight. For anyone that has been there before I will state for the most part it is still the same. A ton of debris on the trails and a lot of paths impassable due to large debris or washed out trail.
It was a bit muddy today and the water level could still come down a bit but, I found a couple places where I could run through all 5 gears.
It is open and that is a good thing.
