I got into a big discussion on the ATV Connection forum about top speeds for Utilities. I told them I had gotten by Grizzly up to 85 and they all said no way. Anyone care to share their info?

I beg to differ... I swear I got it up to 85!! Raymond was on his Raptor when he first got it. He said let's get going and tell me how fast you are going so I'll know what this is doing. I got it up to 40...50...and still had throttle. I ended up doing 85 on the readout and quit. He whizzed by me and just had a $hit eating grin! Another thing...I beat everyone the other day at Disney during a drag racing contest. Let's see Tyler's 700, Dwight's 700, John's 650, Chris' Raptor, Heather's 700...so I at least have bragging rights there!! Hey Dwight...2nd place is 1st loser by the way!! ;D

DAWN, I believe you !! I ride a 450 Kodiak, straight out of the box, It has digital speedometer, I've had it to 57, which was maxed out, but I didn't try to hold it there, might have gotten a little more out of it, but if the little Kodiak can do that, I'm sure that 660 will run quite a bit faster.

LOL! Dwight staying neutral...chicken!
I haven't gotten my new Grizzly 05 anywhere above 60 yet...haven't really gotten the chance to get it out and try. Tyler said he and Raymond got it to about 70...

Dawn not sure about that 85 MPH, not saying your wrong but my brother has 04 Grizz with camo package, front & rear tube bumpers, tamarack front box, 3000# warn and Maxxis Bighorn rims/tires. I was given opportunity to ride it last week and could not manage any more than 72 MPH. However, there is a considerable amount of additional wgt and I weigh 232.

You mean Disney? I think I did have you on take off and near the end...but I will take the high road and not argue since people seem to think my Grizzly doesn't have that much power...

the modded 800 sportsman yes ill admit you should be a race simple bigger motor and mods ,, but you also weigh alot more than me ,, stock grizz or pipped,, sorry not an issiu to me,, if i lose to a grizz then i know my tune is off way off, does seem to run a little rich right now but better safe than sorry,, my if your wondering weighs about 600lbs new stock, grizzly about the same polaris, like atleast a 150 more lbs, let alone aftermarket tires wheels bumper,, right now my winch is off, "cracked housing" old warn 2000lb,, and i have 27 titan 589, similar to the itp's better bead gaurd they are much heavier than stock but the polaris will be alot heavyer the grizz well if there still up go to high lifters web site, find the dyno runs and comparisons, im going to go see whats new , but youll see the difference ,, and then thers a;wasy rider skill, terrian ,, many factors for a drag race win, top speed down, hill helps,,so yeah there yah go

Have seen 75 on speedo on my brute force , still had throttle leftj ust ran out of room LOL. Don't know how accurate speedo is but with a little tune I think that 85 is do-able.

Yeah...I had a friend of mine, Rick, on my Grizzly about 2 weekends ago and he was surprised the odometer read that high.

My stock 05 Grizzly 660 Everytime wide open went 63. Tested it with a GPS also said 63. Since then after clutch kit, and 686 BBK top speed is 47 with my 29.5 Outlaws on it. 47 is top speed but it gets there super fast.It pops a wheelie with ease in 4WD.

I highly doubt 85mph. Check it against a GPS, that is the only real way to tell, especially if you have changed wheels and/or tires.

Raymond...you have a GPS now, don't you? Let's do this...I'm sure my quad really only goes to 45...I'm just imagining another 40 mph on top of it. HAHA...no, really, I'd like to see what it shows. I'd be impressed with 65+ alone...

What is funny though...my Grizzly is all stock...and those other "boys" were putting all those toys on theirs and spending lots of dough...and I was spanking them. They were so pissed. I loved it....
